With the celebration of Labor Day this weekend also comes the thought that cold weather is not far away.  You hear the radio announcers’ constant reminders that this is the end of summer. State parks close down most of their activities and probably we will have a frost before the month ends. I heard that the farmer's almanac is calling for a milder winter with less snow fall for our area this winter. I hope they are right and we escape the cold we had last winter!

 

The other night I mentioned that the signs of the return of the Lord are everywhere if one knows what the Bible has to say about it. Just this week I received an article from the Way of Life Literature.  The subject that he wrote about was the movement now working in Israel to build the third Temple. He said that they had already fashioned the priestly garment, the high priest's breastplate, with its 12 precious stones inscribed with the names of the twelve tribes of Israel. The list went on to say they had the copper laver, incense altar, silver trumpets, gold-and silver-plated shofars, harps and many other things. The candle holder, called the Menorah, made with 95 pounds of gold has been fashioned and was moved to an outside location on the Western Wall Plaza. It sounds to me likes we are a lot closer then we truly comprehend.

 

I trust that you are allowing these events to call you to a closer walk with the Lord and to look for His return just any moment now.
